Forbidden software#

Your work computer has been purchased by and belongs to the CNRS. It has been landed to you so you can work efficiently. In return, you must respect the rules of use, and only use your computer in a professional context.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of software that are forbidden on your work computer.

P2P tools#

It is strictly forbidden to install and use any Peer2Peer client (even for legal files) on your computer.

Remote control tools#

Teamviewer is not allowed (network blocked).

External email and data services#

It’s strictly forbidden to forward your emails to external providers (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.), as well as store your work data on commercial services like Dropbox, especially if it is an US company.

Gaming#

Gaming software (Steam, MMOs) are strictly forbidden to install and use on your work computer.
